Today is 'Blue Monday', the so-called most depressing day of the year. Personally I don't subscribe to such thinking, and so, ever the optimist, thought I'd turn this negative into a positive and champion one of my favourite pastimes (being travel), alongside some visitors' tips for one of my favourite cities in the world.

It's no secret amongst those who know me that Singapore is one of my 'happy places'. It's vibrancy, innovation and culture make it one of the best places to live and work, or simply to visit.

And in 2019 there are plenty of reasons to do just that, with a packed social calendar (including the Formula One Grand Prix in September) and a pleasant year-round climate, if it's on your list then I hope this round-up of some of my favourite places will assist you. And if it's not yet made it's way on to your destination list, then perhaps it might inspire you!
